Practice: Monday, April 8

Practice will be at 4:00p for all event groups.

Monday Workout (Sprints/Field Events): Please have your splits written down PRIOR TO PRACTICE. A good place to write them down is on your arm (unless you plan on losing your arm prior to practice). We will not take time to do this at practice nor to organize training groups.

Use the charts below and follow these instructions:

  1. Looking at the PROJECTION chart, write down your PRO 200 time if you are a short sprinter (100/200m, in GREEN). If you are a long sprinter (400m/300H), write down your PRO 400 time (in PURPLE). For example, Will’s projected 200m time is 21.17; Jameson’s projected 400 time is 47.02.
  2. On the PERCENTAGE chart, locate the column with the time closest to your projected time (the time you already wrote down). Short sprinters will use the GREEN chart and Long sprinters will use the PURPLE chart.
  3. Short sprinters write down the 100 & 150m split; long sprinters write down the 100, 200 & 250m split listed in the corresponding column. For example, Will would write down these times on his arm: 21.0 = 100: 11.6 / 150: 17.3 /// Jameson would write down: 47.0 = 100: 12.4 / 200: 24.9 / 250: 31.6
  4. Check the projection chart and memorize your training group number; THEY HAVE CHANGED. Get familiar with who else is in your training group (training groups are labeled 1-7).
  5. Be on time to practice and be prepared to follow instructions.
