Bringing Some Spark to ThuderRidge Invitational

The Angel Girls and Boys Track and Field Teams showed some spark at the ThunderRidge Invitational with some good opening season performances in what, for mid-March, were decent conditions down at Douglas County Schools Stadium in Parker. Here are some highlights.

Boys 100m (78 competitors): Jackson Llewellyn 16th, 11.44; Elijah West Duah 17th, 11.46

Girls 100m (75 competitors): Zoe Thomas 16th, 13.35

Girls 200m (69 competitors): Emma Brewington-Fuller 16th, 28.42

Girls 800m (52 competitors): Mary Clare Nussbaum 11th, 2:32.46

Boys 1600m (63 competitors): Henry Bennett 6th, 4:38.23

Boys 110mH (34 competitors): Mulyndwa Kafuuma 5th, 16.06

Girls 4 x 100m: 4th of 16 teams, 52.29

Boys High Jump (30 competitors): Kavi McDonald 17th, 5-7

Girls High Jump (23 competitors): Leah Maina 18th, 4-2

Boys Long Jump (51 competitors): Cayman White 8th, 18-10

Boys Triple Jump (29 competitors): Jaaziah Hurt 15th, 35-8.75

City League Early Season Opener Highlights

There were some great early season performances this weekend. Here are a few standouts:

Boys 100m: Jaivyence Winston 11.79, Kingston Viswanath 11.86

Boys Long Jump: Jaivyence Winston 17-08.75, Kingston Viswanath 17-08.50

Girls 400m: Grey Jenson 1:09.93

Girls 1600m: Paola Ochoa 5:49.51, Fiona Jeung 6:04.88

Shared Facilities Update

Hi everyone,

We wanted to post a quick note regarding the shared used of East athletic facilities. At this time, there aren’t new policies in place, rather, some new equipment that affects how much space the soccer team will require during their games. As we all know, we have limited space for a large number of teams and people. We are working with both the Athletic Director — Mr. Cameron Browne — and the principal — Ms. Terita Walker — along with the head coaches of soccer and lacrosse to come to a resolution that benefits all of our student-athletes. Thanks for your patience and understanding, and please don’t hesitate to reach out to Coach Kohuth or Coach Z with any questions. Please also keep in mind that we will update you as soon as we have additional information, but we are looking to prioritize the safety and success of each and every one of the kiddos.

Non-Qualifying Timed Scrimmage 3/8 @ ACS

It’s already time for the first competition! We have a bus leaving East promptly at 8:30am tomorrow morning, and athletes not riding with us should arrive to All City Stadium no later than 9:00am to beginning warming up/preparing and cheering on their teammates.
