From the Husky coaches:
Here are the links to the meet program: RUNNING EVENTS and FIELD EVENTS. Please note: Heat 3 of the boys and girls 1600 is the “elite heat” that will run after the 4×400. We will have limited extra copies of heat sheets at the coaches meeting, but please feel free to share these copies with your teams ahead of time.
Here is the link to the updated time schedule and updated starting heights/minimum marks. We will run ahead, but not more than 30 minutes.
Additional Information:
- Teams may set-up tents in the back row of the bleachers, but not in front of the press box or in front of other team tents. We will have the stadium open for teams by 11:00 and gate entry for spectators by 11:30.
- Please remind your parents/families that there is a $5.00 cash only gate fee.
- We will have lunch for coaches available in the press box immediately following the coaches meeting at 12:30. The coaches meeting will be at the start/finish line. There will be dinner for coaches (in the press box) around 6:00 pm.
- We realize that there are fewer flights in field events than we anticipated (which is why we only allowed the 2 entries per team). Our initial team list had over 31 teams, so we were concerned with how we would be able to get through that many flights. In the last few days, we have had a number of teams pull out of the meet (which is disappointing so close to the competition). So we do apologize for limiting entries in field events. We have, however, decreased minimum marks in the events and will measure upon request anything that is close to those minimums.
- There were some teams that entered 3 athletes in field events when the 3rd athlete did not meet the minimum requirement to gain another entry. Those entries were rejected in order to be fair and consistent to all teams. If you do see errors with entries (not regarding a rejected third athlete), please email us. We will do our best to fix any errors prior to the meet tomorrow.
- Awards for 1st-3rd (batons for winning relays, medals for all individual events and 2nd/3rd in relays) will be available for athletes to pick-up in the press box. Please let them know that once the results of an event are announced, they can get their awards. We also have team trophies for 1st and 2nd that we will give out as soon as final results are tabulated tomorrow night!
- There will be a QR code posted at the meet for you to have access to results throughout the competition.
